Reportedly unseen and missing from surveillance shots of the test mules, was the Lincoln Trademark rear deck lid hump, a reminder of when spare tires weren’t space savers. That absence, as much as other evident styling cues, showed Ford was serious about spreading the Taurus/Sable design philosophy to as many products they could manage.
