01987: Edgier Eldorado
Now that the Cadillac division had been re-re-organized again acquiring responsibility for its own products and manufacturing – GM’s faltering prestige division was looking for future success with cars inspired by its past. This was a rendering of what was described as the 88 Eldorado. It was the first product in a Cadillac crash program to achieve two coals: appeal to a historically Cadillac customer body and sell cars. The cues apparent here were lifted without apology from Cadillacs favorite cars, the 196 Eldorado.
