11987 Mercury Cougar Manufacturer Promo
Like Ford with the T-bird, Mercury restyled its Cougar for 1987, but the top XR-7 model again went its own way by losing its turbo four in favor of a 150-horsepower 302 V8, a sensible switch. The base LS gain carried the 120-hp 3.8 liter V6. Cougar’s 1987 sales were good, but not as great as the 1986 tally, which fell 31,000 to 104,526. The XR-7 listed at $15,832, the base LS at $13,595.
Thank you for sharing. It was good to see this video and see why this car was so popular back in the day. I remember this car. I did not care for the headlight design though. It is sad there are no American coupes like this anymore..
