1988 Chevrolet Camaro Manufacturer Promo

Don’t waste time searching your local dealers lot for a 1988 Z28 , that time-honored moniker was dropped by Chevrolet in a surprise move. Instead, if it’s a high-performance Camaro you wanted, you’d have to check the order book for option 1FP87/Z28 sales jargon for the potent IROC-Z model, which came in coupe and convertible versions in 1988. Base engine was the LO3 5.0 liter V8, with throttle body injection and choice of 5 speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The Full House Edition included the powerful tuned port-injected 5.7 liter V8 with four-speed automatic, plus Goodyear Eagle 245/50 R16 radials on 16 by 8 inch cast aluminum wheels, same as last year. Note that a 5-speed manual still wasn’t available with the 5.7 liter.
