The 1990 launching of the Acura NSX won great praise from critics and much attention from car enthusiasts. The NSX was completely handmade except for some of the welding. The 3000 pound car featured an all aluminum body, the ability to reach 60 mph in under six seconds, and an audio system by Bose. Though the sticker price for the NSX was $60,000, the highest of all Japanese cars, bids as high as $125,000 were made at some dealerships before customers even saw it.
