1990 Audi Coupe Quattro Test Drive

Audi’s rapid improvement during the 1980s continued with a vengeance into the next decade. The replacement of the famous turbo-charged Quattro and its lesser (non turbocharged) brother, the Coupe’, was launched in 1988. The handsome new Coupe’ was based on the 80/90 running gear and used the same four and five cylinder engines. The most potent model was the 230hp S2 Quattro, but it lacked its predecessor’s brutal appeal. The Coupe’ was dropped in 1995.
