1990 Oldsmobile Calais International Series Dealership Training Video
Oldsmobile again wooed import buyers in 1990 with sporty International Series Cutlass Calais models. Also noted was a reborn 4-4-2 (Quad-4 engine, four valves per cylinder, two overhead camshafts), a $1680 option package for the S two-door.
I LIKE 1990 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS CALAIS INTERNATIONAL AND 442 QUAD 4 ENGINE NON TURBO VERY FAST MODERN MUSCLE CAR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNyk3USDVco THERE IS A SPECIAL FEELING IN AN OLDSMOBILE MY FAVORITE JINGLE SONG SYMBOL USA-2
I cannot tell you how much I have always loved this car. I’ve driven a few mid and basic Iron Duke Calis’s and was always very pleasantly surprised. I have an Oldsmobile now in fact.
always loved the international series. fast as hell and damn clean looking. there are 200 or so 442’s still around yet. i believe they came with the W41 that was capable of 190hp from the factory.(something that no other automaker made possible at the time) same with the Achieva SCX. fantastic cars for the price. and with the old Rocket Parts catalog you could make the Quad 4 into a v8 eater. too bad that catalog is gone. thankfully for us Quad 4 owners, there are still parts laying around here and there, just very hard to find.
hell yes! glad im not the only one that realized the racing heritage of this engine. fantastic design and great performance brought many championships and records to the Oldsmobile and Quad 4 name.
I’ll right away clutch your rss feed as I can’t to find your email subscription link or newsletter service. Do you’ve any? Kindly allow me recognise so that I may subscribe. Thanks.
My first car was an ’88 Calais, and while it was the basic 2.5L / 3-speed version, it was a very likeable car, and I always wanted a 44s version with the cleaner front styling and smooth rear spoiler. I don’t imagine there are many of these cars left now…
I have a 1990 red Calais international quad 4 I want to sell , We live at Ft Myers Beach Fl , the car has been in our storage unit under a car cover for some time . We start it , run it around and put it back in the storage unit , ( less than 100 miles ) last year !!! We need the space and want someone to enjoy this nice little car. My first car was a 1969 W31 we also had a Co Po camaro and a 1968 Z28 , so we know good cars and this one is. If you know someone that would like to deal let me know???? Colbrucewarren48@icloud.com
I’m Michael Tyson and no I’m not the boxer I get that a lot and I’m planning on getting a 1990 Olds Cutlass Calais 2dr white and it has the 2.5L Quad 4-CYL and it the same motor but newer and I test drive and it is fast as hell and my one friend add it more power by adding a Police Interceptor and add it a Turbocharged to it and Nascar plugs and wires and street all season racing tires and racing brakes and other things to make it run and act like a V-8 and sounds like a V-8 and he put racing dual exhaust and it did hit 190MPH and this is the first 4-CYL with all that power ever do that top speed and it still does it with no problems and I’m getting it for only $750.00 talk about a hell of a deal and it is in mint condition
