The Cressida line consisted of only one model, which was fully equipped with leather upholstery and power sunroof as the only options. The classically styled rear wheel drive sedan was equipped with the normally aspirated in line 6 cylinder Supra engine, mounted longitudinally. Displacing 2954cc, it developed 190-hp ten less than the Supra. Cressida’s had a lot going for them, quiet, comfortable, and great handling for its size. Considered to have ‘basic’ styling, I personally found this gen extremely attractive, it was the top of the line Toyota for 1990, the pre-Lexus if you will.
