11991 Bob Lutz – Dodge Viper
In 1991, at age 58 Robert Lutz, who was born in Switzerland, had already had a brilliant automotive career. He had presided over the destines of GM’s European affiliate Opel as well as BMW, Ford Germany and then Ford Europe, where Lee Iaccoca sought him out to take charge of Chrysler’s European export operations. In this interview Bob, discusses the changes within the organization, the product, and of course the Dodge Viper, which some say his is the father to.
Bob is MY hero! He’s the one that made the G8 a reality in the U.S. I wouldn’t have one if it wasn’t for him.
