1992 Audi 100CS Test Drive

Audi replaced every model in a two year stint in the early 90s, and it began with the new mid level 100. The front drive sedan supplants the former 100/200 series and had a 170 horsepower 2.8 liter V6 in place of the previous inline-5 cylinder engines. An all wheel drive Quattro version debuted later with the series first AWD/automatic transmission combination. A new S4 model based on the 100 Quattro used a version of the 200s Quattro turbo five with 227hp.
