1992 Jeep Wrangler Manufacturer Promo
Wrangler sales were headed downhill in 1991, but Jeep hoped to turn that aroun din 1992 by making popular options easier to order. Customer Preferred Option Packages, which lump popular extra-cost items into groups keyed to each model, extended to the Wrangler line in 1992. Jeeps pint-sized sport-utility vehicle, had a standard rollbar (Jeep called it a “sportbar”) mounted to the frame behind the front seats since it was introduced for the 1987 model year. For 1992 the rollbar was extended to the rear of the cargo area, where it served as the anchor point for the new 3-point rear seatbelts, replacing the previous lap only belts.
