The kit included a larger turbocharger and intercooler. Torque was rated at 332 lb-ft at 4500 rpm. Redline was 6900 rpm. CIS/K-Jetronic was retained because it was a known quantity and cheaper to implement than developing a modern, computerized engine management system. However, the system was modified to run with an electronic control unit (ECU), which allowed more precise changes in ignition timing.
