GM benched the original design of its trio of APVs when the second gen U-van arrived for 1997.
The nose got lots of attention. Insiders said, as consumers did, that the APV’s front ends were just too long and ant-eateresque. Obviously the cosmetic updates for the 1994 were far less sweeping, mainly a shortened nosepiece, aerodynamic cat’s-eye headlamp modules borrowed from the Bonneville, and enlarged bottom breather air intakes.
