Chevy Camaro fans cheered at 1993’s new fourth-generaton coupes (rag-tops would be along later): a $13,399 base model with 160-horse 3.4-liter OHV V6, and a new $16,779 Z28 with a 275-bhp version of Corvette’s LT1 V-8 and standard six-speed manual transmission. Also featured were modified space frame construction similar to the Lumina APV van, and more-ergonomic interiors. The all-new 1993 Camaro also paced that year’s Indy 500, the fourth time this Chevy was so honored.
