1993 was a quiet year for the Escort. The Escort was completely revised for 1991, but there were still a fair number of refinements for 1993. The Escort was a nifty little car, available as three- or five-door hatchbacks, a four-door sedan, or a four-door wagon; all were quite spacious for such a compact car, but neither ABS nor airbags were available. Standard engine was the SOHC 1.9-liter, but the GT coupe and LX-E sedan got the storming 127-horsepower 1.8-liter twin-cam, a spoiler and new alloy wheels.
