01993 Ford Explorer Limited Test Drive
Who could have predicted that the successor to the Bronco II would have known such success because of a happy stroke of the pen? The Explorer, which succeeded the Bronco II, is available in two and four wheel drive models, with two or four door bodies on different wheel bases. The only engine offered is the 4.0L V6 with a standard manual 5-speed transmission or an optional 4-speed automatic. The models are XL and Eddie Bauer for both bodies, plus a sport for the 2-door and XLT and Limited for the 4-door.
