1993 Volvo 850 GLT Test Drive

This car was set to change the perception of Volvo. Its front wheel drive, turbo engine and stylish wagon were the irresistible elements which were to convince even the most reasonable. No one would have bet a dime on the Swedish camakers survival at the time of the launching of the 850. However, the new model received such an acceptance that it brought back hope to Gothenburg and dealers the world over. With the 80 the Volvo seemed to be well on the way to making many new converts. Was it enough?
