01994 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Test Drive
With its Corvette-derived V-8, six-speed transmission, and great road manners, the 1993 Camaro Z28 was described as the “budget Corvette.” Judging by the car’s improvements for 1994, that description was applied once again. The major fanfare surrounded around the debut of a convertible model, featuring a full headliner, glass rear window, tghree-piece hard bood, and pouwer operation. The ragtop was offered in base (V-6) and Z28 (V-8) versions. Sequential fuel injection was added to the potent 5.7-liter LT1 V-8, to improve driveability; a four speed electronic automatic was available.
