1994 Dodge Ram Manufacturer Promo

With Ford and Chevy fighting a tough battle with their respective pickup trucks for the title of top selling vehicle in America, Dodge marketers were taking a different tactic altogether. Instead, the goal was simply to be taken seriously and offer something the others didn’t have. The previous Ram pickup was the oldest design on the market in 93′, and sales were not great. Only the monster Cummins turbo diesel engine option provided a small claim to fame for the Dodge line. The 1994 truck offered an intriguing shape along with some very smart design work. Styling inspiration came from the Dodge Power Wagon of the 1960s. The hood narrowed toward the front, ending in a large chrome grille. The familiar Dodge cross hairs were incorporated in to the massive mesh grille. Distinctive fenders housed both front and rear wheels and flush headlamps protruding from the front fenders.
