01994 Ford Windstar Test Drive
When it arrived on the scene in March 1994, the Windstar immediately demonstrated that it was the most serious contender to the Chrysler minivan title; the latter was celebrating its tenth anniversary at the time. Naturally, this Ford had the advantage of more refinement, more elegance and several features that the Chrysler didn’t have. Base engine was a 147-hp 3.0-liter V-6; optional was a 3.8-liter V-6. For 1995, leather was available with the “quad bucket” seating arrangement option.
