When redesigning the 1994 Accord, Honda preferred to stay cautious and follow the conservative recommendation of its customers, rather than risk innovation. In troubled times (industry not Honda), it’s better to play it safe, than to go into an adventure that could jeopardize the equilibrium of one of the smaller Japanese automakers.
