1994 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight LSS Test Drive
Introduced in 1992, the Eighty-Eight Royale was back for 1994 with a host of delicious upgrades. There was a redesigned interior, standard driver- and passenger-side airbags, and a freshened front-end appearance. Three trim levels were offered: Royale, Royale LS and topline LSS version. All used the outstanding GM 3.8 liter V-6 (170 horsepower) to propel the front wheels. Anti-lock brakes remained standard, and traction control was added as an option. About halfway between the Ford Taurus and Chrysler LH sedans in size, this Oldsmobile should have been a top consideration for 1994 sedan shoppers.
