01995 Acura NSX -T Test Drive
The T in NSX-T stood for “targa”, as in a removable roof panel that stored in a compartment behind the seats without stealing any cargo space, which remained a minuscule five cubic feet. This new version of Acura’s 2-seat, mid engine sports car went on sale spring of 1995, as a companion to the hardtop model. Among other new features were a manual shift mode for models with the optional 4-speed automatic transmission. In the manual mode, the driver can shift gears by flipping a lever mounted on the steering column up or down. All models now had a standard electric power steering system, drive by wire electronic throttle control, and an upgrade traction control system.
