The only two-door model in Cadillac’s line bristled with performance and luxury features. Competing against the rear-drive Lincoln Mark VIII, the Eldorado rode atop a front-drive platform. Although both Eldo versions received the fabulous 4.6-liter Northstar V-8, the traditionally trimmed base car made do with 275 horsepower, while the more athletic Touring Coupe got to play with 300 horses (both versions were improvised by 5 horsepower over 1994). Some minor trim upgrades were about the only visual updates for 1995 models. Both variants featured standard anti-lock disc brakes, traction control, and sophisticated suspensions.
