1995 Chevrolet Blazer Test Drive

Watch out, it was a nomenclature-changing time at Chevrolet for 1995. The former S-10 Blazer was restyled, reengineered, and revitalized into a fresh offering for 1995. Although it shared many genes with the S-10 pickup line, Chevy’s compact two-or four-door sport utility abandoned its “S-10” badge to be known simply as the Blazer. Its big brother, nee K-Blzwer, was now called the Tahoe. Got that? Available in 4×2 or 4×4 traction, and even with a new on-pavement all-wheel-drive system, the lil’ Blazer delivered standard four-wheel ABS, a driver-side airbag, and a potent 4.3-liter/195-horsepower V-6. With a trailer capacity of 5500 pounds, and room for up to six close friends, versatility was ths Chevy’s calling card.
