There was a new model in Dodge showrooms for 1995.The Avenger was a front-drive sport coupe that took the place of the departed Daytona and was also seen in the International Race of Champions series. It shared platforms with the also new Chrysler Sebring, but came to market at a lower price. The base version used a 2.0-liter/150-horsepower DOHC four, while the uplevel ES model got a 2.5-liter/155-horsepower V-6. Dual airbags were standard on both , but only the ES received four-wheel disc brakes with ABS as standard equipment. The Avenger’s competition included the Ford Probe as well as V-6 Camaro’s and Mustangs.
