01995 Dodge Stratus Test Drive
The Dodge Stratus joined the Chrysler Cirrus as comfortable, good-performing, intelligently designed family vehicles using the long awaited JA cab forward platform, a styling theme similar to the highly successful LH-platform Dodge Intrepid. The benchmarks Dodge hoped to meet or beat with the Stratus included Toyota’s Camry and Honda’s Accord, so quality and value were what mattered. Pleasant aero-styling combined with an attractive and roomy interior to give the Stratus a people pleasing package. Dual airbags, ABS and a 2.0-liter SOHC came standard; a DOHC four and a 2.5-liter SOHC V-6 were optional.
