01995 Eagle Jazz Concept
Billed as “a visual, refined representation of the future of the Eagle brand,” the Jazz took Chrysler’s “cab forward” design philosophy to new lengths: The wheelbase was nearly identical to Eagle’s full size Vision sedan, but the front drive Jazz was more than two feet shorter. Interior accommodations emphasized family oriented conveniences.
Jazz’s unique front end design carried a strong Eagle brand identity. Novel “shoehorn” taillights were sculpted into the sloping rear fenders. Rear seat passengers could enjoy a combination video/cd player while adjusting their own climate controls. Just the ticket for keeping the youngsters happy and quiet.
Eagle said the hatchback styling made the Jazz more versatile. A glass “porthole” beneath the decklid spoiler improved visibility to the rear.
