1996 Subaru Outback Commercial – Paul Hogan
The conservatively styled wagon offered capable performance, good interior comfort and your choice of front or all-wheel-drive. The Outback wagon rode a bit higher and was dressed up to look like a small SUV.

I remember when Paul Hogan did these commercials from fall 1995 to summer 2002. The four-cylinder versions were not that quick with the automatic shifter. The 2000-04 models added some style, as well as an optional, potent 3 liter inline 6, even though it was some $10,000 more than the basic Outback.
Actually it was a flat 6. I highly doubt an inline 6 would fit in a subie.
