01997 Buick Park Avenue & LeSabre Test Drive
It’s was a big year at Buick, with three freshened or re engineered cars. The LeSabre was on the receiving end of a host of cosmetic touches that gave this comfortable sedan a more contemporary look. The whole front end now differed, with a fresh chrome grille that was part of the hood . New front and rear lights and fascias also helped tidy up the Lesabre. Inside, the seats were improved and Cheyenne walnut applique warmed the instrument panel and door trim. Power came from the proven 3800 series II V6. This pushrod engine used its instantly accessible 205hoursepower and 230 pound-feet of torque to put many multicam competitors to shame.
