With the departure of the entry-level G20 sedan, the I30 took over the role of Infiniti’s most affordable car. Derived from the excellent Nissan Maxima platform, the I30 was the only font-drive car in the infiniti line. With distinctive sheetmetal and interior styling that echoed familiar infiniti cues, the I30 projected a luxury ambiance befitting its place in the automotive hierarchy. Standard equipment was replete with a 200-watt Bose auto system, automatic climate control, and full power amenities. The 190-horse V-6 engine came standard with a five speed manual or you could opt for a four-speed automatic. Even with the automatic, the I30 jumped to 60 mph in only 7.7 seconds.
