1997 Subaru Legacy GT Test Drive

If you liked the idea of getting Subaru’s most powerful 4-cylinder engine, but prefer something more sporting, there was a revised Legacy GT available. The big news was that potent 2.5 liter engine was now available with a manual transmission for the first time. The GT also received larger 16-inch tires for better road grip. New wheels bumper, spoiler, grille and fog lamps added further to a more aggressive appearance. A functional hood scoop completed the more aggressive look.
