1998 Chevrolet S-10 XTreme Force Test Drive

The Xtreme Force S-10 pickup settled into a jagged 1500 rpm idle with a stuttering exhaust bark that clearly indicated you’d best be on a racetrack , or have extremely understanding neighbors. With plans to create an NHRA pro stock truck division for the 1998 drag racing season, Chevy thought it only natural to put together a special S-10 pickup that would offer an idea of what such a race truck might be like, and to give S-10 owners a look at what was possible on the modification front with their own vehicles.
