1998 Honda EV Plus Review

How would you like to pay about $500 a month for a highly advanced new car, including comprehensive and collision insurance, maintenance, wear items, roadside assistance, an unlimited mileage warranty, and lease payment? In 1998? That the offer Honda was making on its EV Plus electric car through a handful of dealers in Los Angeles and Sacramento. For that, you got a four-place car that could reach 80 mph, travel 100 miles or more at a time and recharge in your garage in about 8 hours. The downside was 16..6 second 0-60-mph acceleration that was less than electrifying. With a 66-horsepower DC electric motor pulling about 3600 pounds, tire smoke was another emission the EV Plus would not be making.
