01998 Lincoln Town Car Test Drive
As the sole purveyor of domestic full size rear drive sedans, Ford and its divisions continued to advance the art. Nowhere was that more apparent than in the Lincoln Town car. With a modern rounded body that recalled traditional themes and a fresh accommodating interior, the Town Car was aimed at 50-something executives and 60-something empty nesters. More than 80 percent new from the ground up, this was more than just a stylistic advance; it had a more rigid quieter chassis and reworked suspension and steering.
