1998 Suzuki Esteem Wagon Test Drive

A new wagon gave Suzuki dealers added Esteem for 1998. That’s the most newsworthy aspect of Suzuki’s priciest car line for ’98, assuming that any car that came in at under $16,000 with every option could ever be called “pricey.” With a 110.3-cubic-foot interior engineered with features like fold-down rear seatbacks and under-floor cargo trays, the Esteem wagon crammed a good deal of utility into a small package. both the Esteem wagon and sedan were powered by a 1.6-liter/95-horsepower inline four, which could be matched with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic. Three trim levels were offered, and the top model was equipped with standard ABS.
