21999 GMC Yukon Denali Test Drive
Based on the Yukon SLT, the Denali, had hundreds of changes inside and out that made it a significant step up. It received distinctive looking front sheet metal, and the leather lined Zebrano wood accented five passenger interior was quieter and far more luxurious. A special transmission improved throttle response and acceleration, while standard Autotrac four wheel drive put that power to the ground. Handling was improved with specially tuned suspension. Onstar was the sole available option. All Yukon models were powered by the same 2.7 liter 255hoursepower OHV Vortec V8.
Just imagine being at the GMC dealer in 99 and checking these out 😀
