01999 Infiniti G20 Test Drive
After a two year hiatus, the smallest Infiniti rejoined the line for 1999. Though it retained the same two liter inline four that powered its predecessor, the reinforced unibody, sheetmetal, and interior were all new. Available in standard and touring models, the G20 had a brimming standard equipment list that included anti-lock brakes, a six-speaker 100 watt CD audio system, and side airbags for the front seat passengers. The only major upgrade was a touring package, an automatic transmission, & a leather and convenience package. As a sport luxury sedan priced within reach of many buyers, ownership of the G20 allowed you to visit your Infiniti dealer and slurp down free coffee and donuts with zero guilt.
