01999 Nissan Quest Test Drive
Another fresh entry in 1999’s bountiful crop of new minivans, the Nissan Quest had additional interior space, dual sliding doors, and a larger, more powerful engine. With significantly more interior volume, the new Quest’s utilities stacked up well against the class reference standard, the Dodge Grand Caravan. New features like an optional adjustable parcel shelf added further utility. The sole power plant offered was a 3.3 liter 170 horsepower SOHC v6 coupled with a 4-speed automatic transmission, which offered smooth response if not the sheer performance of some engines in the class that develop in excess of 200 horsepower.
