2000 Cadillac Escalade Test Drive
The Escalade was the perfect example of what GM said it was not going to do – and then did it. After watching the dumb founding success of the Lincoln Navigator and other oversized sport utility vehicles, Cadillac Dealers put the pressure on GM to give them something comparable to sell. Thus the Escalade, a very upscale version of Chevrolet’s Tahoe and GMC Yukon, and Denali.
