02000 Infiniti I30 Test Drive
Infiniti added several improvements to its comprehensively re engineered 2000 I30 model, not the least of which was power. The 3.0 liter/227 horsepower V6 picked up a substantial 37 horsepower through the new Nissan Variable induction System, a refined intake system also used on the I30’s platform partner, the Maxima. A new chrome grille coupled with redesigned headlights turned the front end into a class act. Meanwhile, larger wheels and tires and anew taillight design gave the car a more sophisticated, sportier ambiance. Over all length and wheelbase increases provided for more spacious interior that featured a generously proportioned rear compartment. Up front, you found the traditional Infiniti analog clock.
