The Sienna failed to create the kind of excitement Toyota had anticipated for its mid size model. Roomier than short wheelbase vehicles without the size and weight of extended wheelbase alternatives, it was capable of offering appreciable passenger comfort and considerable cargo space. As was often the case at Toyota, this minvan’s styling was nothing particularly exciting and even died-in-the-wool fans of the make recognize that the leading Japanese manufacturer’s designers could have done better.
