02001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Test Drive
Chrysler dominated the convertible market with its 1996-2000 Sebring. At that time this rag-top’s only direct competition was the slightly smaller Ford Mustang V6. But just as Toyota entered the fray with its Camry based Solara, Chrysler introduced a new, quieter smoother Sebring. Just in time.
The 2001 Sebring rag-top’s look was richer than its predecessor’s, with an ovalish grille borrowed from the Concorde and a sharper, elegant tail reminiscent of the 300 C Hemi show car.
