02002 Porsche 911 Targa Test Drive
You have a dilemma–albeit not one that will cause anyone to feel sorry for you.
The fix you’re in is that forever you’ve wanted a great convertible sports car, but at the same time you live somewhere where lousy winter weather sets in about October and doesn’t abate until April. That means the top of your hypothetical convertible will take a beating and will also never get opened half the year.
So it doesn’t make much sense spending $77,600 for a Porsche convertible, which is a world-class topless sports car but not nearly as much fun when you have to drive it around with the lid on.
What to do?
Buy the new Targa instead.
