Styled like something from the Auto Union pits in the 1930’s, the Audi TT came topless, or with a low arching roof. The scarab-shaped sportster offered a choice of two 1.8T engines with manual transmissions and , in front drive 180-horse TT’s, a six speed automatic. All TT’s got Xenon headlamps for 2004. New for stateside Audi’s was a naturally aspirated 3.2-liter V6 making 250 horsepower, 25 up on the hotter 1.8 and no doubt torquier. The 3.2 also got new trim, paddle shifted six-speed gear box, 17-inch wheels and bigger brakes.
