02004 Chevrolet Aveo Test Drive
The entry-level import returned to Chevrolet with the midyear debut of the 200 Aveo. A product of GM Daewoo Automotive, the Korean-built sedan and hatchback sported fresh italdesign styling. A high roof and raised seating imbued five-passenger interiors with a sense of speciousness. All models employed a 1.6-liter/105-horsepower DOHC four mated to a five-speed manual or four speed automatic transmission. Base models came with AM/FM stereo, center console, and variable intermittent wipers. The LS gained a CD player, air-conditioning, and power windows and door locks. Fog Lamps and 14-inch alloys were LS options.
