Usually you don’t want to be in a crossfire. Now you do. The new two-seat Crossfire was Chrysler’s first modern sports ar. The first result of synergy between DaimlerChrysler and Mercedes-Benz, the Crossfire was based on the Mercedes SLK platform, powered by the German 215 horsepower V6 built by Karmann in Germany. Style, however was pure American, as was 39 percent of the works. You could choose between a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic, but the Crossfire was loaded with such standard items as 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels, dual projector head lamps, and stability control. Fire away!
