02004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 Test Drive
Want a power pickup? Look to Dodge. The 5.7-liter Hemi Magnum V-8 made the standard Ram 1500 the most powerful mass-production light-duty pickup on the planet (for 2004). Dodge’s big rig style truck was available with a 4.7-liter V-8, or, for the thrifty set, a gutsy 3.7-liter V-6. The top-of-the-line Laramie got a new chrome grille, setting it apart from the ST and SLT trim levels. Want even more power? The Ram SRT-10 should suffice with 500-horses and 525 lb-ft of torque. With a top speed of 150 mph, refined handling, and great brakes, it was the Viper of trucks. Finally a truck that really hauled.
