2009 Pontiac G8 GXP Test Drive
The hot-rod GXP model debuted with a 400-hp, 6.2-liter V-8 and a standard six-speed automatic; a manual was an option. Stiffer legs were part of gthe package, as were larger brakes and 19-inch wheels. The only options were the manual gearbox and a sunroof. This M5-on-the-cheap would run a 0-to-60 time of less than five seconds and came loaded with a price in the mid-30s. XM satellite radio and Bluetooth capability were standard with all G8’s.
