1991 Infiniti G20 Test Drive
After its debut in 1990 as Nissan’s US luxury car division, Infiniti added a third model to its lineup for 1991. Called the G20, this mid-size four door sedan was smaller than the mid size M30 and the full-size Q45, and was the lowest priced Infiniti.
This car was introduced in Japan as the Primera, and was sold in Great Britain as the replacement for the Bluebird there. For the US Market it received some refinements inside and out to make it more luxurious, to fit the uplevel Infiniti concept.
Nissan hoped it to compete with the Lexus ES250. However it was really more geared to compete with the similarly priced Acura Integra, the base vehicle in Honda’s luxury car line.
